SENIOR DAY

Saturday's match against UNLV will serve as Senior Day for redshirt-junior Timm who will graduate this May and will not return next year. The Denmark product has enjoyed a successful career in the Blue and Orange, playing 85 career matches in singles and 84 in doubles since coming to Boise. Her 50 career singles wins puts her in a club that only 30 other Broncos have ever entered before. She is also top-30 in program history in career doubles wins with 48 to her name.

THE OPPONENTS

THE UNLV REBELS: UNLV enters the match with an even record of 5-5. Last weekend the Rebels went 1-1 in their first Mountain West matches of the season, beating Nevada 4-0 and then falling to Fresno State in a close 4-3 match. The last time the two teams faced each other was in 2017 in Las Vegas, a match the Rebels won 6-1.

THE SAN DIEGO STATE AZTEC: San Diego State also comes to Boise with a .500 record, with wins over UC Irvine and UC Riverside on their nonconference schedule that was hit hard with four cancelations. The Aztecs are 1-1 in MW play after beating Nevada 4-2 and losing to Fresno State 4-1 last weekend in San Diego, Calif. This will mark the first time the Broncos and Aztecs have met since 2014 when San Diego State was victorious in a 7-0 sweep.

LAST TIME OUT

The Broncos were on the road in Albuquerque, N.M., last weekend as they played two matches to open MW play. The first match saw Boise State sweep Air Force 4-0, then in match two the Broncos ground out a 4-2 victory over New Mexico, giving them a 2-0 record through the first weekend of conference play.

The match against New Mexico came with other highlights as well, as redshirt-junior Vanessa Timm claimed her 50th career singles victory, joining 30 other Broncos in achieving the feat.

STATS TO WATCH FOR

The Broncos' 2-0 performance last weekend puts them in a three-way tie for first place in the Mountain West Conference standings. Boise State stands with San Jose State (8-0, 1-0 MW) and Fresno State (9-3, 2-0 MW) at the peak of the conference through the first week of play. With no conference tournament being held this season, regular season matches will be what determines this year's conference champion, making every match more important than ever.

Timm eclipsing 50 career wins means she is now the 10th Bronco to make that mark in the Beck Roghaar era. Timm is on the outside looking in to the top-30 of Broncos singles-wins list, only needing one more win to enter that group. Since taking over at Boise State in 2010, Roghaar has coached nine players that are on the top-30 singles wins list for the program.

AT THE HELM

Beck Roghaar is in his eleventh year in charge of the Broncos and has led his teams to winning records in seven of those seasons. The two-time conference coach of the year honoree holds a 123-97 record. He has also had nine of his teams earn ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
