Taviore Leads a Strong Final Day for the Broncos

EUGENE, Ore. - Freshman sprinter Anita Taviore led the way for Boise State track and field, winning the women's 400-meter dash on the final day of the Hayward Premiere.

Taviore, running in just her second meet for the Broncos, set a personal best in the 400m with a time of 55.50, finishing nearly a second ahead of the second-place runner.

Boise State had 12 runner set or establish personal bests on day two bringing the total number at the meet to 26.

Junior MaLeigha Menegatti led a group of five Boise State women running in the 800m with a time of 2:08.51. All five Bronco runners set personal bests in the event.

Senior Ryan Cavinta earned a bronze medal finish in the men's 400m-hurdles with a personal-best time of 52.12. Just behind Cavinta was fellow senior Jose Rubio, who grabbed a top-five spot, also closing with a personal best of 53.17.

In the final women's event of the day, the Bronco women's 4x400m relay team of Kelly Moodry, Taviore, Harlee Hales and Menegatti added their names to the Boise State record book by clocking the fourth-fastest time in program history at 3:44.56.
