Broncos Prepare for Mountain West Championships

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State track and field returns to Clovis, Calif., for the Mountain West Championships, hosted by Fresno State.

LAST TIME OUT:Â The Broncos were led by a standout performance from freshman Anita Taviore.
Taviore wrote her name into the Boise State record book three times at Veterans Memorial Stadium. She won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.51 just .11 shy of the school record. Shortly after which, running in the 200m she finished second and easily broke the Boise State record with a time of 23.25. The mark bested the previous top time of 23.41 held by Mackenzie Flanagan.
LOGISTICS:Â The Mountain West Championships will be held at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. The championships are to be contested over three days, May 13-15.

Thursday night will debut the championships with the running of the men's and women's 10,000-meters at 10:30 p.m. MT. On Friday, competition kicks off with the women's long jump at 5 p.m. MT. Track events begin at 7 p.m. MT with the men's 1,500m qualifying heats.

The final day begins at 1 p.m. MT with the men's javelin. The track events commence at 7 p.m. MT with the men's 4x100m relay.
