Hansen hits a career-high .481 to lead Boise State past Tigers.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Makayla Hansen hit a career-high .481 Friday morning to lead Boise State in a sweep of the Pacific Tigers to open the Sacramento State Invitational. Boise State used rallies midway though the first and second sets to claim control of the match, then never trailed in the final frame as the Broncos recorded their second-consecutive sweep.

The 25-19, 25-18, 25-16 win was the sixth for the Blue and Orange as it improved to 6-1 overall. A second match is on the slate for later Friday with the Broncos facing CSUN at 6 p.m. (MT) in The Nest. 

Trailing 15-10 in the first set, Hansen turned it on, recording four of the Broncos next six points to tie the match up at 16. Boise State then closed it out with a 9-3 run down the stretch.

In the second period, the Broncos were down 8-5 when Lauren Ohlinger (two kills, two blocks), Hansen (three kills, three blocks) and Alyssa Wissinger (four blocks) teamed up for a 9-0 run to give Boise State the lead for good, up 14-8.

Hansen led Boise State's solid hitting performance with a career-high .481, while the Broncos hit a season-high .382 percent against Pacific. Hansen also finished with a team-best 15 kills to go with 12 digs, to notch her first-career double-double, to go with four block assists and 18.0 points. 

Ohlinger hit a season-high .343 for 13 kills to go with six digs and four block assists. Kayly Pau was next, hitting .412 with eight kills and three block assists. Wissinger was outstanding on the wall once again collecting a team-high eight blocks. 

Danielle Boss distributed 36 assists from the setter position, while Jolei Akima added 12 digs from the libero position to tie Hansen for the team high.

Allison Casillas made her season debut Friday morning playing as a defensive specialist and tallying nine digs.
