- Kenzie MacMillan generated four shots on the day, the most of any Bronco.
- "We were up and down today," said head coach Jim Thomas. "I thought there were peaks where we looked close to building up momentum in the game, but largely it was a battle for us to get any kind of emotion out of our team today. This is hopefully a lesson for our team that we don't have to sit in for too long."
- "The Mountain West race is going to be tight all the way to the end and we have to fight for it," said Thomas. "We missed an opportunity today and we need to make sure that we come back next week and change that situation."
- Boise-native Macie Nelson played in her 86th-career match, tying Baylee Blaser for most all time in program history.
- Sunday's result marks the first loss for Boise State since Sept. 1, having gone unbeaten in 12-straight matches prior to today.
- San Jose State scored in the 82nd minute to snap Boise State's program-record nine-match shutout streak. The goal was the first allowed by the Broncos in 927:06.
