Marghini Captures Runner-Up Honors at MW Championships

LARAMIE, Wyo. – Sophomore Yasmin Marghini registered a silver-medal finish in the women's 6k at the Mountain West Championships, leading the Boise State women's cross country team to a fifth-place finish, Friday.

Marghini recorded a personal-best time of 19:41.6, the fourth-fastest time in conference history.

Junior Delaney Griffin was the second Bronco to cross the finish line, followed by sophomores Abby Kendrick and Autumn Ost. All three women placed in the top-30 in a field of 96 runners.

On the men's side, Boise State also finished fifth with 139 points.Â

The men faced a competitive field, racing against nationally-ranked Air Force (5th ranked), Colorado State (28) and Utah State (24).

Freshman Mohammed Jouhari paced the Bronco men, registering a top-20 finish. Junior Murdoch McIntyre and sophomore Austen Apperson were the next two members of the Blue and Orange to cross the finish line, securing top-30 finishes.
