BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's soccer picked up an important point in the Mountain West standings and served its eighth-straight shutout against Colorado College in a 0-0 draw, Sunday afternoon at the Boas Soccer Complex.

The Broncos (6-2-7, 2-0-4 MW) put their foot on the gas in the first half as they generated 13 shots while allowing zero. The Tigers' (5-4-4, 2-1-3 MW) goalkeeper made five saves in the opening period to keep the scoreboard clear entering halftime.

Boise State continued to look the stronger side offensively in the second half, outshooting Colorado College 11-2 while generating four corner kicks. Despite a flurry of chances in the closing minutes, the teams split points in a 0-0 draw.

Top Broncos Quotables
  • "I really don't have any complaints," said head coach Jim Thomas. "This sport can just be rough on you at times. We outshot them 24-2 and had opportunities clean in on goal and had one called back on an offside. You can't knock on the door more than that."
  • "I feel like I've grown into my role as a leader on the team," said Jocelyn Stephens. "I've been able to organize us vocally, and then also when I need to step up on the field and make a big play I have that confidence in myself because the coaches have that confidence in me too. It's a really nice feeling knowing that they trust me at the back and they want me to play. I've been having a lot of fun."
Notables
  • Boise State has not lost a match since Sept. 1, going 11-straight unbeaten (5-0-6) and breaking the program-record for most consecutive matches without a loss.
  • Boise State has not allowed a goal in 755:33, extending its program-record streak.
  • The Broncos have blanked eight-straight opponents, growing its program-record for consecutive clean sheets.
