Wolf Pack Squeaks by Broncos in Overtime

BOISE, Idaho – Nia Alexander's jumper with 1.0 second left in overtime gave Nevada a thrilling 76-75 victory over Boise State, Thursday night.
The game featured 10 ties and 10 lead changes despite the Broncos (8-19, 4-12 Mountain West) not leading until the 6:49 mark of the fourth quarter.
Boise State held its biggest lead at 63-57 with 2:18 to go in regulation, before Da'Ja Hamilton scored six-straight points for Nevada (18-9, 10-5) to force overtime. The Broncos had a chance to win in regulation, but Anna Ostlie's 3-point attempt missed the mark.
Nevada raced out to an 11-3 advantage and the Wolf Pack led 17-7 at the first media timeout of the game. Rachel Bowers then scored six points during an 8-0 run that pulled the Broncos within 17-15. Bowers finished with a season-high 15 points.
Nevada led 19-17 at the end of the first period on the strength of 9-for-9 shooting from the foul line while Boise State shot 50 percent (7-for-14) from the floor in the opening 10 minutes.
The Broncos tied the game at 19 on a bucket by Elodie Lalotte at the 9:35 mark of the second quarter before the Wolf Pack went on a 16-2 run to take a 37-21 lead with 2:13 remaining in the half. Lalotte led Boise State with a career-high 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, one shy of her career high, for her seventh double-double of the season.
The Broncos responded with six-consecutive points to close the half, including a 3-point play by Dominique Leonidas with 2.4 seconds left before the break to cut the deficit to 37-27.
In the third quarter, the Broncos fell behind 49-37 with 3:45 left. Abby Muse scored the next five points and Leonidas added a basket to pull Boise State within five points entering the final stanza.
Boise State opened the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer by Mary Kay Naro and a layup by Leonidas that tied the game at 49 with 8:01 to play.
After a basket by Nevada, Bowers and Muse each made a pair of free throws and the Broncos took their first lead at 53-51 with 6:49 remaining.
Leonidas tallied 13 points and four assists and Muse added 10 points and nine rebounds.
