Six Broncos Named NFCA All-Region

BOISE, Idaho – Six Boise State student-athletes were named All-Pacific Region by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association last week.
Junior Kelsey Hall led the way with a first-team honor at designated player. Hall was an All-Mountain West Second Team member and a two-time Mountain West Player of the Week selection this season. She batted .392, fourth in the MW and her 13 home runs tied for fifth in the conference.
Sixth-year senior Kelsey Lalor was a first-team All-Mountain West honoree and earned second-team all-region as an outfielder. She ranked among the MW leaders in several categories including doubles (tied-first 15), slugging percentage (third, .724), home runs (tied-fifth, 13), runs (tied-fifth, 39), RBI (tied-sixth, 46), hits (tied-seventh, 56) and batting average (eighth, .368).
Senior pitcher Hannah Bailey, sophomore catcher Abby Bumcrot, redshirt-sophomore Alycia Flores (outfield) and fifth-year senior Alison Seng (first baseman) each garnered a third-team all-region accolade.
The six selections for Boise State equaled the rest of the Mountain West schools combined.
Bailey (first team), Bumcrot (second team) and Flores (second team) each earned All-Mountain West recognition.
Bailey finished fourth in the MW with a 2.43 ERA and fifth with a .241 batting average. Bumcrot batted .390 in 82 at bats this season to go along with a .490 on-base percentage and a .585 slugging percentage.
Flores ranked sixth in the MW with a .375 batting average and Seng was seventh in the conference with a .624 slugging percentage.
The Broncos went 40-10 to tie the school record for victories and set a school record with 19 conference wins.
