BOISE, Idaho – Boise State women's soccer picked up its first shutout of the season in a 0-0 draw against Montana, Thursday evening at the Boas Soccer Complex.

After a slow start, the Broncos ramped up the attacking play in the second half, taking eight shots and three corner kicks in the period. Some late scoring chances were created by Boise State, but Montana kept the scoreboard empty at full time.

"I think we responded really well to the circumstances at hand, which is important heading into conference play" said head coach Jim Thomas. "You have to play the cards that are dealt your way and use the solutions that are out there on the park."
"I'm not one to just look at one game and say 'That's who we are,'" said Thomas. "One game does not make a season, but it's all a lesson and a part of your journey as to how you're going to become a champion in the end."
