Broncos Defeat Rams to Close Two-Match Homestand

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State soccer won 4-1 against Colorado State to wrap up its two-match homestand at Boas Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
The Rams (6-4-2, 1-2-1 Mountain West) were the first to get on the scoreboard when Olivia Fout netted one in the 13th minute of the match.
The Broncos (5-1-6, 3-0-1 MW) squared the match 1-1 when Sophie Drown knocked in a header with an assist from Kenzie MacMillan in the 24th minute.
Cindy Conner put the Broncos in the lead for good when she controlled a Colorado State goal kick, then sent it back into the goal from distance in the 29th minute to give the Blue and Orange a 2-1 lead to enter the break.
Boise State continued to extend its lead in the second half when Carly Cross ran onto a throw-in from Evva Vail in the 53rd minute, then fired a shot into the net.
The final goal came when Olivia Collins ripped a shot into the back of the net off a pass from Morgan Padour in the 67th minute to solidify the Broncos' victory.
