Broncos Take Road Trip to San Diego and New Mexico

On the Road Again: Boise State soccer (5-1-6, 3-0-1 MW) will travel to San Diego and Albuquerque, N.M., to face San Diego State on Thursday at 8 p.m. MT and New Mexico on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. MT, respectively.
Last Time Out: The Blue and Orange won 4-1 against Colorado State on Oct. 1 at Boas Soccer Complex. The Broncos tied the match when Sophie Drown knocked in a header with an assist from Kenzie MacMillan in the 24th minute and took a 2-1 lead when Cindy Conner put the Broncos in the lead for good when she controlled a Colorado State goal kick, sending it back into the net from distance in the 29th minute. Boise State continued to extend its lead in the second half when Carly Cross ran onto a throw-in from Evva Vail in the 53rd minute, firing a shot into the goal. The final goal came when Olivia Collins ripped a shot into the back of the net off a pass from Morgan Padour to solidify the Broncos' victory.
Scouting the Aztecs: San Diego State enters the match 8-2-2 overall with a 3-0-1 conference record after beating Colorado College 3-1 on Oct. 1. The Aztecs hold a 10-8 overall advantage over the Broncos and a 6-3 advantage when at home. San Diego State is the only other team that remains undefeated in conference play.
Scouting the Lobos: New Mexico enters the week 4-2-4 overall with a 1-1-2 conference record after winning 2-1 against Air Force on Oct. 1. The Lobos hold a 9-4-2 overall advantage over the Broncos and a 5-0-2 record when at home.
Conference Honors: Boise State forward Kenzie MacMillan was named the MW Offensive Player of the Week for her two-goal performance in the Broncos' 3-1 win over the reigning MW champions, Wyoming.
One Away: Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw is tied for third all-time at Boise State with 17 shutouts. Her next clean sheet will break a tie with current assistant coach, Liz Ruiz and tie the school record.
Fabulous Freshman: With her goal in the Broncos' 4-1 win against Colorado State, Cindy Conner is the only freshman in the Mountain West to have scored two goals in conference play. Conner is only the third Bronco this season to have netted multiple goals, behind only Carly Cross (8) and Kenzie MacMillan (5).

Junior Carly Cross leads the MW in total points (18) and is tied for first in total goals (8).
