SAN DIEGO – Boise State women's soccer was dealt its first loss in conference play as it was edged by San Diego State in a battle for sole possession of first in the Mountain West.
The Aztecs (9-2-2, 4-0-1 MW) scored the lone goal of the match in the 33rd minute, just six minutes after a huge save by Bronco goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw.
Despite outshooting San Diego State 9-7 and earning three corners to one in the first half, Boise State (5-2-6, 3-1-1 MW) was unable to convert a shot into a goal and was handed the loss.
