Week Eight of Conference Play
- Boise State (11-14, 7-8 MW) closes the home slate this Saturday afternoon with Senior Day against the San Jose State Spartans (12-15, 3-11 MW), tip is scheduled for noon (Mountain) in Bronco Gym. Â Â
- Parking:Â Because of the football game later in the day, parking for volleyball will be available on the west side of campus at the Brady Garage.Â
- Senior Day:Â Saturday afternoon Boise State Athletics will honor the four seniors/graduate students with a Senior Day ceremony before the match versus SJSU starts. The four that will be recognized are Qairo Bentley (Denver, Colo.), Noelani Helm (Walla Walla, Wash.), Chey Day (Maple Valley, Wash.) and Annie Kaminski (Bellevue, Idaho).
- The Broncos entered the match in seventh place in the league standings; San Jose State currently sits tied for 10th.
- This week's action will feature some of the top attackers in the Mountain West in Boise State's Paige Bartsch leading the league and ranked fourth nationally in kills per set at 4.99 and fifth in total kills with 464 on the year; SJSU is led by Nayelli Ti'a averaging 2.72 kps.

- The Broncos are looking to get back on track and snap a five-match losing streak; the last came Monday afternoon by a 3-1 score at league champion Utah State. Â Â
- Last time out at USU, Paige Bartsch led Boise State with 25 kills, one service ace, six digs, four blocks and 28.5 points. Â Â
- The MW coaches picked the Broncos to place sixth out of 11 teams in the 2023 league race.Â

- Paige Bartsch leads the MW and is ranked in the top 10 nationally in six categories: second for points per set (5.85), fourth for kills per set (5.04), fourth for total points (538.5), fourth for attacks per set (12.90), fifth for kills (464), and seventh for total attacks (1,187).

- Setter Noelani Helm is ranked fourth in the conference for assists per set at 8.80 and fourth in total assists with 810.
- Sophomore libero Breanna Mitchell is sixth in the MW for digs per set at 3.67, seventh for total digs with 338, seventh for service aces per set at 0.34, and sixth in total aces at 31.
- Annie Kaminski is 10th for hitting percentage at .318.
The San Jose State Spartans  Â
- SJSU enters the week at 12-15 overall and 3-11 in the conference, tied for 10th place.
- The Spartans are coming off a pair of home defeats, falling 3-2 to Colorado State and 3-1 to Wyoming.
- The league's coaches picked San Jose State to place eighth during the 2023 conference race.
- Saturday's meeting will be the 46th all-time in a series that the Broncos lead 23-22 overall, the series is tied 10-10 in matches played at Boise.Â
- The Broncos defeated the Spartans (Oct.12) 3-0 earlier this year in San Jose.
