WHAT'S NEXT:Â Boise State men's basketball hosts San Francisco, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at ExtraMile Arena for a game between the two West Coast programs. The game will be televised by KTVB's 7.2 channel and on the station's digital platforms, and it will stream on the Mountain West Network.
LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos opened their season with an 89-55 win over Vanguard, Tuesday, Nov. 7. Boise State tied a 53-year-old school record with 60 rebounds – including 20 on the offensive glass – with Chibuzo Agbo (19) leading four players in double figures. 13 Broncos saw the court in the win with nine playing at least 16 minutes.Â
LOOKING TO MAKE HISTORY: Boise State is seeking its third-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament – a feat which has never been accomplished in program history. Four of the nine appearances in March Madness have come under the direction of head coach Leon Rice – the all-time wins leader and winningest coach in program history.
INTO THE FIRE: Sunday's game begins a difficult stretch for the Broncos – at least five opponents rank in the top-100 according to KenPom, with the potential to play another two depending on the results of the ESPN Events Invitational. The Dons are currently ranked 87th by KenPom and have averaged 106 points over their first two games of the year.
GUESS WHO'S BACK: Boise State returns All-Mountain West players Tyson Degenhart (first team) and Max Rice (second team) from last year's squad, as well as Chibuzo Agbo – he started 33 games in his first season in the Blue and Orange.Â
