
Boise State Concludes Fall Season at San Diego State Fall Classic II

The Broncos will travel to San Diego to close out their fall campaign at the San Diego State Classic II, Nov. 3-5.

- UP NOW: Boise State will travel to California to compete in the San Diego State Classic II, Nov. 3-5.
- WHO'S IN: Six Broncos will take part in the event. Pauline Ernstberger and Shauna Heffernan will pair up, while Lorelyz Marruffo will play with Nicole Discenza. Bhakti Shah and Ana Conde Vendrell will round out the Boise State competition on the doubles side. Each of six Broncos will compete individually in singles as well.
- SCOUTING THE FIELD: The Broncos will face off against Colorado, Colorado State, Nevada, Oregon, San Diego State and UC San Diego. The Buffaloes and the Duck both ranked fourth in the Mountain and Northwest region last season, respectively. Colorado State ranked sixth in the Mountain region and San Diego State ranked eighth in the Southwest region.
- LAST TIME OUT: Discenza and Marruffo reached the round of 16 in the main doubles draw of the ITA Mountain Region Championships in Salt Lake City, Oct. 18-22. The duo defeated Utah's Samantha Horwood and Emma Kamper, 8-6, before falling to Kara Wheatley and Kendall Kovick of BYU. Utah was ranked first in the Mountain region last season.
- MILESTONES TO WATCH: Discenza is approaching 50 career wins, entering the weekend with 49 victories. Ernstberger and Heffernan currently sit at 26 career doubles victories as a pair, one short of moving to the No. 12 spot for most wins in program history. The duo look to pass Polina Kokoulina and Pichittara, who played for the Broncos from 2007-08.
