
Six Broncos Earn Academic All-District Honors

BOISE, Idaho – Six Boise State soccer student-athletes received NCAA Division I CSC Academic All-District honors, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in academics and athletics. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent or start in at least 66 percent of the contests, and hold a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.50 on a 4.0 scale.
Genevieve Crenshaw, Carly Cross, Sophie Drown, Kenzie MacMillan, Jocelyn Stephens and Morgan Stone were selected by the organization to represent the Broncos for their achievements in the classroom and on the field.
Crenshaw is a health studies major, who led Boise State's goalkeeping stable and was a two-time Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week. The MW All-Tournament honoree posted five shutouts on the season, breaking the program record for most career clean sheets with 20.
A communication major with a 3.80 cumulative GPA, Cross started all 21 matches, and became the sixth Bronco to record a hat trick in her career against Eastern Washington on Sept. 7. Cross also earned Mountain West All-Second Team and MW Offensive Player of the Week honors during the 2023 season after recording a season total of 23 points with nine goals and five assists.
Drown is a business administration major, who appeared in all 21 matches this season, with 17 starts. She tallied two goals on the season.
MacMillan is a business administration major with a 3.95 cumulative GPA and started all 21 matches, leading the conference in points, assists, shots and match-winners. The forward registered a total of 27 points in the 2023 season with 10 goals and seven assists. The three-time MW Offensive Player of the Week was also named to the All-MW First Team.
A chemistry major with a cumulative GPA of 3.98, Stephens helped lead the Broncos' defense to a 0.95 goals against average, the second lowest in conference. The All-MW First Teamer started all 21 matches, playing 1,905 minutes in the 2023 season, the most among Boise State outfield players.
Stone is an entrepreneurship management major who competed in all 21 matches in the 2023 season, including eight starts. The midfielder logged 770 minutes and recorded two assists on season. Stone also broke the program record for most games played by a Bronco with 95.
