Boise State Hosts Rocky Mountain College Tuesday

Boise State women's basketball will host Rocky Mountain College, Tuesday, Dec. 12, at noon MT in ExtraMile Arena.

THE OPPONENT

The Battlin' Bears enter Tuesday's matchup with a perfect 7-0 record. The two teams have one common opponent, College of Idaho - RMC defeated the Yotes 74-56 on Oct. 27 while the Broncos won 77-35 on Nov. 6. The Bears have four players scoring in double figures, with Morgan Baird leading the way scoring 19.7 points per game.

LAST TIME OUT

Boise State lost to BYU Saturday, Dec. 9, in Provo, Utah. Abby Muse scored a season-high 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the loss. Natalie Pasco finished with eight points on 3-of-5 shooting while Mya Hansen knocked down two triples to finish with six points.

Muse has the potential to move into the top 10 in the program's record books for blocks in a single season in the team's 11th game of the season. The senior has blocked 35 shots so far on the year and needs just three to tie with her 2021-22 season for 10th place. Muse is currently ranked second nationally in both blocks per game (3.5) and total blocks (35), and has the Broncos ranked fifth nationally with 7.0 blocks per game.

THE DEEP BALL

Boise State is ranked eighth nationally in 3-point percentage, shooting 39.8% from beyond the arc. Four players – Mya Hansen (51.5%), Mackenzie Naro (50.0%), Natalie Pasco (48.1%) and Alyssa Christensen (41.7%) – are shooting above 40% from three. Last year only Hansen shot over 40% from deep, shooting 41.8%.
