WHAT'S NEXT

Boise State will open Mountain West play with a road trip to Laramie, Wyo., to face Wyoming. The game will tip off on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 12:30 p.m. MT and will be broadcast on the MW Network and 670 KBOI AM.

THE OPPONENT

The Cowgirls enter the contest 5-6 on the season. The two teams have two common opponents – Wyoming defeated BYU 86-74 before being defeated, 62-43, to Eastern Washington, while the Broncos (9-4) fell to both teams. Allyson Fertig leads the Cowgirls, averaging 14.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game.

LAST TIME OUT

The Broncos split their two games at the San Diego Winter Classic, dropping a game to UC San Diego, 62-56, before defeating San Diego 62-54. Sophomore Natalie Pasco scored a season-high 27 points in the contest, draining six of her 12 3-point attempts. Senior Abby Muse notched her second double-double of the season in the victory with 15 points and 13 rebounds.

BLOCK PARTY

Muse added six blocks in the win against the Toreros, becoming the only player in the nation to have five games with six blocks. Muse enters Saturday's contest ranked second in the nation in both blocks per game (3.9) and total blocks (51), and is already in sixth-place in the program's single-season block list just 13 games into the season.

CITY OF THREES

Fresh off a game where she drained six 3-pointers, Pasco enters MW play leading the conference in 3-point percentage (46.6%) and total 3-pointers. As a team, Boise State is second among MW teams from beyond the arc, draining 37.5% of its attempts.

MW DOMINANCE

Boise State looks to continue its history of MW success as it opens MW play. The Broncos have won 10 or more conference games in nine of the past 10 seasons, the most of any team in the league. Head coach Gordy Presnell also enters conference play with 124 MW wins, the third-most all-time, with a chance to overtake Elaine Elliot (130) for second place.
