Broncos Record a Slew of Personal Bests in Weekend Competitions

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State track & field registered a total of 27 personal records at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash., and Don Kirby Elite Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., this weekend.
 
In her indoor track debut, sophomore Yasmin Marghini etched her name in the record book with a personal best and the fifth-fastest time in program history (9:19.95) in the women's 3000-meter at the Husky Classic. Six of the nine Broncos that ran in the women's 3000m registered personal records.
 
Freshman Kaiya Robertson bested her previous time by a second (4:43.15), moving up from fifth-fastest to fourth-fastest all-time in the women's mile.
 
On the men's side, a total of 10 Broncos recorded personal bests in their respective events.
 
Over in Albuquerque, MaLeigha Menegatti garnered a silver medal finish in the women's 800m, recording the fourth-fastest time in Bronco history.
 
Sophomore Anita Taviore finished 20th in the women's preliminary 60m dash with a time of 7.55, the fourth fastest in program history.
