Broncos Win First Game of Stanford Invitational

STANFORD, Calif. – Boise State softball beat Michigan 4-2 in the first game of the Stanford Invitational Friday, Feb. 24.
 
The Wolverines (6-5) were the first team to score, recording one run in the top of the second. The Broncos (7-4) responded in the bottom of the frame, plating two off a single from Eliyah Flores, giving them a 2-1 lead.
 
The Blue and Orange extended its lead to 4-1 with a two-run home run from Jordyn Hutchins in the third. Michigan scored a run in the seventh, but the Broncos were able to hold the Wolverines off.
 
Lindsey Walljasper pitched a complete game, improving her record to 4-1 in the circle.
