HOUSTON – Playing against conference opponents for the first time in program history, Boise State finished 3-2 at the Southland Conference Midseason Tournament over the weekend.

The Broncos (9-4, 3-2 SLC) started off the weekend against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, falling 5-0 to the preseason favorite. Boise State responded aggressively in its next dual against Southeastern Louisiana, winning the first three matches at the No. 3, 4 and 5 positions en route to a 3-2 victory. The second day of the tournament started off with a rematch from last weekend, with Boise State facing off against Houston Christian. After splitting the No. 4 and No. 5 positions, the top three tandems from each team battled it out in three-set finishes, with the Huskies outlasting the Broncos to claim a 3-2 win. Boise State ended the weekend victorious, winning three matches in straight sets to defeat Nicholls 3-2.
