Broncos Rally for Road Victory to Open Conference Play

LAS VEGAS - Boise State scored three times in the top of the sixth to rally past host UNLV 4-3 in the Mountain West softball opener for both schools, Friday.

The Broncos (13-10, 1-0 MW) trailed 2-1 when Eliyah Flores tripled with one out in the top of the sixth. Kelsey Hall's sacrifice fly tied the game and Alycia Flores followed with her third home run of the season to put Boise State on top. Lindsey Walljasper doubled and Autumn Bennett capped the rally with an RBI single.

UNLV (14-12, 0-1) answered with a run in the bottom of the frame off Walljasper (5-3) and had the tying run at second with no one out. Taylor Caudill came on in relief and earned a six-out save, including four strikeouts.
