BOISE, Idaho – Boise State softball won its second game of a three-game home Mountain West series against Colorado State by recording a 13-2 run-rule victory, Saturday afternoon.

The Rams (17-9, 3-2 MW) were the first to get on the board with two runs in the top of the first inning.
Â
Colorado State threatened to add more runs to the board but a double play from Serena Huchingson to Abby Bumcrot got the Broncos out of the inning.

Boise State (17-11, 4-1) responded with four runs in the bottom of the frame, with three coming from walks.

The scoring continued for the Blue and Orange as Mykenzie Hanna and Jordyn Hutchins both homered in the bottom of the second, extending the lead to 7-2.

A grand slam from Serena Huchingson in the third inning and a two-run homer from Autumn Bennett in the fourth earned Boise State its mercy-rule win.

Taylor Caudill (7-6) earned the win for the Broncos in the circle.
