Broncos Travel to Fargo for Season Opener

Up Now:Â Boise State kicks off its 2023 season on the road in Fargo, N.D., with a match against North Dakota State, Thursday, Aug. 17, at 5:30 p.m. MT.Â
About the Broncos:Â Returning for the Broncos are All-MW First Team honorees Genevieve Crenshaw and Jocelyn Stephens and All-MW Second Team honoree Morgan Stone. Other key returners include forwards Ashly Berge, Carly Cross, Kenzie MacMillan and Hayden Wilsey, defenders Michaela Justiniani, Payton McBride and Evva Vail and midfielders Sophie Drown, Jayla Land, Morgan Padour and Grace Sommers. Boise State's roster also includes 13 newcomers, with 10 incoming freshmen and three transfers.
Own Opening Day:Â The Blue and Orange are undefeated (3-0-2) in its last five season-opening matches. Last season, the Broncos drew 1-1 with Utah Valley in Bois to start the 2022 campaign.
Bounce Back Season:Â After finishing the 2022 season with a 4-3-4 conference record and an 8-5-7 overall record, the Broncos look to return to the Mountain West Championship in 2023 after missing the tournament last season.
2023 Exhibition Rundown:Â Boise State won 2-0 against the College of Idaho in a home exhibition match at the Boas Soccer Complex, Aug. 11. Forward Carly Cross scored both goals for the Broncos, scoring the first just over three minutes into the contest and the second in the 60th minute with a shot from just outside the penalty box.
