Broncos Tee Off 2023-24 Season in New Mexico

WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State women's golf opens the 2023-24 season at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, Sept. 11-12, in Albuquerque, N.M. The first two rounds will be played on Monday with the final round set for Tuesday. Both days will tee off with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. The event will be held at the par 72, 6,354-yard UNM Championship Course.
COACH DOWNS, ROUND THREE: Head Coach Kailin Downs enters her third season at the helm of the program. Last year, she guided the Broncos to a season-opening team crown at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic. The team score of 883 (299-293-291, +31) is the ninth-lowest 54-hole total in school history. Downs played collegiately for New Mexico, garnering All-America honors on two occasions.
THE SQUAD: The Broncos return four members from the 2023 Mountain West Championship lineup, including Leia Chung, who paced the Broncos with a 15th-place finish. Boise State also welcomes freshmen Jillian Hui and Teal Matsueda, as well as junior transfer Caroline Wales, who previously played for Kansas and Cal State San Marcos.
