BOISE, Idaho – Boise State soccer ended nonconference play with a 1-1 draw against Oregon on Thursday afternoon.

In the 14th minute of the match, junior Carly Cross knocked in her fifth goal of the season with assists from Genevieve Crenshaw and Kenzie MacMillan to give the Broncos (2-1-5) a 1-0 lead.

The score held up until the 51st minute, when Anna Emperador netted one for the Ducks (0-6-2), squaring the match at one apiece. Later, Kenzie MacMillan delivered a pinballing shot to the bottom center of the net, but a save by the Ducks' goalkeeper preserved the draw.

"I'm both impressed and disappointed," said head coach Jim Thomas. "I felt like we were the better team by a significant amount. To not come away with three points is frustrating but I can't knock the way we went about it, and I'm very proud of the fight that we showed."
