
Bronco Men, Women Take Fifth at Roy Griak Invitational

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. – Boise State cross country was led by fifth-place finishes by both its men's and women's teams at the Roy Griak Invitational, Sept. 22.

Ned Potter led the men's team as he traversed the 8-kilometer course in 24:42.1 for a 20th place finish. The Bronco men ran as a pack with all five scorers finishing between 20th and 30th and earned 127 points to finish ahead of Mountain West opponents Wyoming and Colorado State. The team was also only 16 points behind nationally-ranked No. 9 Portland.

Sophomore Kaiya Robertson led the women's team with an 11th-place finish in 21:25.1. Robertson set the pace for Autumn Ost (15th), Yasmin Marghini (17th) and Julia Kiesler (20th) for 115 points. Boise State finished behind three nationally-ranked teams including No. 22 Cal Baptist, No. 24 Utah and No. 29 Colorado State. Boise State's women's team also finished ahead of Mountain West foes No. 19 New Mexico and Wyoming.
