BOISE, Idaho – Tyson Degenhart's jumper with 2:51 pulled Boise State within two points, but seven points from UNLV in the final 71 seconds – five at the free throw line – was enough to down the Broncos 68-64 at ExtraMile Arena.

Neither team separated the score by more than two possessions for all but 6:29 of the game.

Degenhart led Boise State (12-5, 3-1 MW) with 24 points – his fourth game scoring 20 points this season. He added five rebounds and a pair of assists.

The Runnin' Rebels (9-7, 2-2 MW) scored 15 points off 11 Bronco turnovers and tied the battle on the glass with 35.

"They just made more plays than us," said Tyson Degenhart. "You can go back and just see their tenacity on the glass, just getting every loose ball. It just seemed like they were getting every ball and we weren't, and that was the difference of the game."
"It's always about response, whether that's to wins or losses," said head coach Leon Rice. "It's about knowing what kind of level you need to play at when you're playing good team after good team. So Saturday we'll look to respond against San Diego State."

The loss ends Boise State's home win streak at 22. The Broncos had the longest active home win streak in the country and set a program record for consecutive home wins.
