Broncos Set to Battle San Jose State on Wednesday

LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos (11-6, 2-2 Mountain West) picked up their second conference win of the season against San Diego State on Saturday. Boise State jumped out quick, scoring a season-high 27 points in the first quarter en route to a 40-19 halftime lead. That advantage helped stave off a late Aztec running, winning 68-59. Natalie Pasco led the way with 15 points, with Elodie Lalotte and Dani Bayes adding 12 and 10, respectively.Â
RECORD BREAKERS
Several Broncos reached significant milestones in the win over the Aztecs. Natalie Pasco's 15 points pushed her past the 500-point mark, finishing at 501 career points. Mary Kay Naro dished out five assists in the contest, becoming the fourth Bronco in program history to eclipse 400 career dimes. Abby Muse pulled down nine rebounds in the first quarter of the game, the most ever by a player in a single quarter in program.Â
THE OPPONENT
The Spartans enter the contest with a 6-10 mark on the season, and have gone 1-3 in league competition. San Jose State is led by Jyah Lovett, who is averaing 15.3 points and 3.1 assists per game, and Amhyia Moreland, who is averaging 12.0 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest. The Broncos lead the all-time series 27-14. ÂÂ
CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
After matching her season-high with 16 rebounds against San Diego State, Muse has put herself in position to move up in the career record books. The senior enters Wednesday's matchup with 800 career boards, trailing Marla Curtis (1981-85), who pulled down 804 rebounds in her career.Â
HOT STREAK
Natalie Pasco, the team's leading scorer at 13.5 points per game, has scored in double figures in all but three games on the season. The sophomore hit four 3-pointers on Saturday, marking the fifth time this season that she has drained four or more shots from beyond the arc. Pasco is second in the MW in 3-point percentage (43.4%) and third 3-pointers per game (2.5).Â

Boise State leads the MW in scoring defense and field goal percentage defense, allowing 56.2 points per game on 35.8% shooting.Â
