Defensive Effort Knocks Off Ranked Colorado State

BOISE, Idaho – Defensive effort and timely shooting led to a marquee, Quad 1 win for Boise State men's basketball. The Broncos defeated No. 17/18 Colorado State, 65-58, in front of a sold out crowd at ExtraMile Arena.

The win is the second-consecutive win over an AP Top 25 team, the third-highest ranked win in program history, and continues Boise State's home-win streak to a nation-leading 22 games. 

The Broncos (11-4, 2-0 MW) ended the half on a 10-2 run to take a 28-21 lead on Colorado State (13-3, 1-2 MW). A 9-0 run midway through the second half continued to add to the lead as Boise State led by as many 13. 

Boise State made 11 free throws in the final 3:14 of the game to secure the ranked win.
