WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State continues its run through Mountain West play at Nevada this week. Tipoff from Lawlor Events Center is at 8:30 p.m. MT on FS1, with the Wolf Pack receiving votes in both the AP Poll and Coaches' Poll.
LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos picked up their second-consecutive AP Top 25 victory – for the first time in program history – with a resounding defensive effort against #17/18 Colorado State, 65-58. Boise State held the Rams to their season low for points (58) and 3-pointers (4), led by five scorers in double figures.
MOUNTAIN WEST ELITE: Friday's matchup pits two of the top-three coaches in terms of all-time Mountain West victories against one another. Boise State head coach Leon Rice ranks second in conference history with 133 Mountain West victories, while Nevada head coach Steve Alford is third 111.
INTO THE DEN: The Broncos are seeking only their second victory at Lawlor Events Center since the beginning of the 2016-17 season. The last time Boise State won at Lawlor was an 85-70 victory during the Mountain West title season in 2021-22 (Jan. 12, 2022).
FINDING HIS GROOVE: Point guard Roddie Anderson III dished out eight assists against Colorado State on Tuesday night. That's his most in a single game as a Bronco, and the most by a Boise State player since Marcus Shaver, Jr., had nine at Wyoming last season (Jan. 14, 2023).
STRETCH OF OPPORTUNITY: Boise State is in the second game of a four-game stretch with plenty of opportunities to build on its postseason resume. Three of the four are Quad 1 games. UNLV is currently a Quad 3 game, but the Runnin' Rebels have risen 25 spots in the NET rankings since Jan. 1, and are 23 spots from moving into Quad 2.
