LARAMIE, Wyo. – Boise State women's soccer came back after trailing at halftime to earn a 2-1 victory over Wyoming, Sunday afternoon.

Wyoming (4-6-5, 2-2-2 MW) scored the first goal of the match to gain the early lead in the 20th minute. Taylor Brook headed the ball into the goal after a throw in from Alyssa Bedard.

In the 49th minute, Carly Cross tied the match for Boise State (11-2-2, 4-0-2 MW) as she snuck a shot into the bottom left corner of the goal. Avery McBride was credited with the assist.

Kayla Soderstrom's goal in the 63rd minute gave the Broncos the lead. She gained the ball from a blocked shot attempt from McBride and blasted it into the left side of the goal.

Goalkeeper Genevieve Crenshaw recorded five saves off eight shots on goal.

Carly Cross scored her eighth goal of the season and 19th of her career.
Kayla Soderstrom scored her first goal of the season and her career.

Boise State earned its second victory when trailing at half this season and the fourth of head coach Jim Thomas's career.
The Broncos have recorded seven consecutive matches without a loss, tying for third-longest streak in program history. This also marked the fifth consecutive road match without a loss, tying for third in program history,
Boise State won its eighth-straight match over Wyoming, extending its lead in the overall series to 10-7-1, and now leads 5-4 in matches played at Laramie.
Avery McBride recorded a career-high two assists against Wyoming.
Boise State recorded its second-best start to conference play through six matches in school history. The 2018 team holds the program best with a 5-0-1 conference record.

What's Next

The Broncos will return home to host Air Force on Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. MT and Colorado College on Sunday, Oct. 20 at noon MT. Both matches will be held at Boas Soccer Complex and broadcast on the MW Network.
