Explosive Second Half Propels Broncos to Victory

RENO, Nev. – Boise State women's soccer defeated Nevada 2-0 Thursday night after an explosive second half.
 
Boise State (14-2-2, 7-0-2 MW) entered halftime tied 0-0 with Nevada (5-12-1, 3-5-1 MW).
 
Cross scored a goal early in the second half, speeding past defenders to receive a pass from Jillian Anderson. Cross fired the shot straight into the right side of the goal to take a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute.
 
In the 55th minute, the Broncos extended their lead to 2-0. Anderson took a free kick, placing the ball in front of the left side of the goal where Olivia Collins headed it in.
 
Genevieve Crenshaw notched her seventh shutout of the season, recording six saves.

  • Carly Cross scored her ninth goal of the season and 20th of her career.
