
Jillian Anderson Named Mountain West Freshman of the Week

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Jillian Anderson has been named the Mountain West Women's Soccer Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.

The Texas native earned the honor after helping lead the Broncos to a 3-2 victory over New Mexico (Oct. 3) and a 2-0 win over San Diego State (Oct. 6).

Anderson posted two goals for four points against the Lobos with goals in the 71st and 88th minute. Her second goal was credited as the game-winner as she fired a shot down the middle. It marked her third and fourth goals of the season.

This is the third MW weekly award for the women's soccer team this season and the first of Anderson's career.

The Broncos will return to action when they travel to face Colorado State on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 4 p.m. MT and Wyoming on Sunday, Oct. 13 at noon MT.
