Boise State Sweeps Pac-12 Weekly Awards

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State soccer swept the Pac-12 weekly awards, the conference announced Tuesday.

Ava de Leest was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, while Campbell Wilson earned Pac-12 Offensive Player and Newcomer of the Week honors.

De Leest earned her first weekly honor of the season and the fourth-conference defensive player of the week award of her career. The goalkeeper recorded her sixth shutout of the season against Northern Colorado on Sept. 25, which leads the Pac-12. Her six shutouts also rank sixth in program history for a single season.

Wilson earned her fifth newcomer of the week honor and her first offensive player of the week award. The freshman scored twice against the Bears for her third brace of the season. Wilson scored her first goal just 36 seconds into the match, marking the fourth-fastest goal to start a match in program history. She now leads the Pac-12 with 22 points, averaging 2.20 points per match. Her 22 points also rank first among freshmen in the NCAA.

Boise State is the only team to record a clean sweep of the Pac-12's weekly awards this season. It also marks the first time since 2022 that a women's soccer team has swept the conference's weekly awards, when UCLA accomplished the feat.

Boise State will kick off its Pac-12 slate on Thursday, Oct. 1, with a trip to San Diego State. The match will be livestreamed on the Pac-12 YouTube channel and is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. MT.
