
Cross Crowned Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Carly Cross has been named the 2024 Mountain West Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year, the conference announced, Monday afternoon.

The Broncos also earned five all-conference selections, with Genevieve Crenshaw and Cross headlining with first-team honors.

Fifth-year Morgan Padour received All-MW Second Team distinctions, while Jillian Anderson and Jasmine Young earned a spot on the MW All-Newcomer Team.

Cross leads the MW with six goals and a .55 goals per game average throughout conference play. She is also tied for second in points (14) and points per game (.55). The senior has recorded three game-winners for the Broncos, leading the team in the category. This not only marks Cross's first MW Offensive Player of the Year selection but also her first All-MW First Team honor.

Crenshaw set program records in career goalkeeper wins and minutes, tallying up 41 victories and 6,555 minutes so far this season. The fifth-year ranks second in the conference in shutouts (6), shutouts per game (.55), save percentage (.857) and goals against average (0.64). This is her second All-MW First Team honor, with her first being in 2022.

Padour earned her second all-conference honor of her career while setting career bests in goals and points. She notched four goals for eight points throughout conference play, along with one game-winner.

Anderson has recorded six starts throughout all 11 conference match appearances in her first season with the Broncos. She recorded two goals and five assists in conference play for nine points, the second most on the team. Throughout all games, Anderson notched seven assists, which ties her for first for most single-season assists in program history.

Young has started in every conference match, racking up 855 minutes of action. She has helped lead the Broncos to six shutouts and eight wins, while only allowing seven goals.
