WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State men's basketball will play at Wyoming, Saturday, Feb. 24. Tipoff from the Arena-Auditorium on the campus of the University of Wyoming is at 5:30 p.m. on the Mountain West Network.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos scored 41 points off the bench and put together one of the most balanced performances in the Leon Rice era during an 82-50 win over San Jose State. It was the fourth 30-point win of the season as Boise State shot 53.7% from the field and held the opponent to under 32.7% for the first time in a conference game under Rice.

900 THE MAGIC NUMBER: A win Saturday would mark the 900th victory as a Division I program for Boise  State. The first season at the highest level of college basketball was 1970-71, and the Broncos have gone 899-695 (.564) since.

CONTROL OUR FATE: The Broncos still control their fate in the Mountain West title hunt. As long as Boise State wins its final five games it will clinch a share of the conference regular season title with Utah State. The Mountain West does not utilize tiebreakers for regular season titles, only for determining the seeding of the conference tournament.

LIFE ON THE ROAD: Boise State will remain out on the road for an extended period this week. Here is the week's schedule for the Broncos.
  • Friday Feb. 23- Arrive in Laramie (Evening)
  • Saturday Feb. 24- Play Wyoming (Evening)
  • Sunday, Feb. 25- Bus down to Colorado Springs (Morning)
  • Tuesday, Feb. 27- Play Air Force (Evening)
  • Wednesday, Feb. 28- Return to Boise (Early Morning)
BY THE NUMBERS:
  • 17.9: Junior Tyson Degenhart is averaging 17.9 points per game in conference play — good for third in the Mountain West. During league play he has scored 15+ points in nine games, including five straight.
  • 41: Over the last two games, the Broncos have scored 41 points off the bench. Boise State scored 18 against Fresno State and 23 against San Jose State, the top two scoring outputs from the bench in league play this season.
  • 0.5: Boise State is only 0.5 game back in the conference standings. At 9-4 the Broncos are even in the loss column but trail Utah State's 10 conference wins.
  • 15-9:Since the start of the 2021-22 season, Boise State is 15-9 in road Mountain West games. That is the best record in the conference during that stretch.
  • 13-2: Saturday's game is a reunion against former Boise State assistant Jeff Linder. Leon Rice owns a 6-1 advantage over Linder since the latter was named the head coach at Wyoming. Rice is 13-2 all-time against former assistants who were the current head coach at the time of the matchup.
