RENO, Nev. – Boise State hit three home runs and knocked off Nevada 7-5 in the opener of a three-game Mountain West softball series, Friday.

In the fourth, Jordyn Hutchins and McAnally hit back-to-back home runs to make the score 5-0. Mykenzie Hanna added a home run in the fifth and Flores doubled home a run to increase the lead to 7-0.
"We started fast and that was a key for us today," head coach Justin Shults said. "We played solid defensively and Taylor Caudill got some big outs when she needed them."

In the seventh, Nevada (35-12, 11-6) put two runners on with two outs, but Caudill (15-11) induced a ground out to end the game.
