BOISE, Idaho – Alycia Flores led off the bottom of the seventh with a home run to propel Boise State past New Mexico 5-4 and push the Broncos one step closer to a Mountain West Championship berth.

The home run was the fourth of the season for the redshirt senior and capped a 2-for-3, three RBI night.
Â
"We are starting to win close games," head coach Justin Shults said. "We just have to keep focused on our next game. I continue to be proud of our fight and tonight we did a great job of scoring runs late."

Â
Boise State responded in the bottom half of the fifth with a two-run single by Flores for a 3-2 lead. Sophia Knight gave the Broncos a two-run lead with a run-scoring single in the sixth.
