Five Earn Gold on the Weekend for Boise State Track and Field

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State track and field notched five gold-medal finishes to highlight a split-meet weekend in California.
 
At the Steve Scott Invitational, the Broncos racked up four first-place finishes from Hanna Ackermann, Austen Apperson, Janiah Brown and Ollie Newman.
 
Ackermann won the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:28.18, while Apperson ran a personal-best in the men's 3,000m steeplechase in 8:53.47.
 
Brown had a time of 2:08.69 in the women's invitational 800-meter and Newman ran the men's invitational mile in a career-best time of 4:02.43.
 
At the Fresno State Invitational, Gabriella Chiara ran a career-best time of 2:10.79 in the women's 800-meter to take home gold.
