
Boise State Set for Mountain West Championships

- The Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be held at the Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, Calif. This three-day meet will begin Thursday, May 9.
- Last time Boise State was out on the track, Hanna Ackermann, Austen Apperson, Janiah Brown, Gabriella Chiara and Ollie Newman all took home first-place finishes. The Broncos also established 22-career bests on the weekend between the Fresno State Invitational and the Steve Scott Invitational.
- Last time at the 2023 MW Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Boise State took ninth as a team on the women's side. MaLeigha Menegatti broke the conference meet record as she took gold in the women's 800-meter in 2:02.41. Yasmin Marghini also earned some hardware, placing third in the women's 5,000-meter in 16:07.40. The Broncos closed the meet with a bronze-medal performance in the women's 4x400-meter relay. Alyssa Cullen, Menegatti, Nyenuchi Okemgbo and Anita Taviore broke the school record as they registered a time of 3:39.16.
- On the men's side at the 2023 championships, the team placed eighth overall.
