Four Broncos Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

TEMPE, Ariz. – Boise State men's tennis placed four Broncos on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Scholar-Athlete list for the 2023-24 academic year as announced by the organization's headquarters Monday morning.

The four student-athletes honored are Jan Lucca Marquardt, Sam Sippel, Liam Toroman and James Van Herzeele. All four recorded GPAs of 3.5 or better for the past year (fall and spring semesters) to earn this accolade.

This marks Sippel's fifth consecutive year earning this recognition, while it is Marquardt's fourth, Van Herzeele's second, and Toroman's first.

The ITA honored 1,059 NCAA Division I student-athletes. Among them were the four Broncos and 17 from the Mountain West, representing five of the seven programs.
