WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State women's basketball will open a two-game homestand on Wednesday, Jan. 15, with a contest against San Jose State. The game will tip off at 6:30 p.m. MT in ExtraMile Arena and will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and 670 KBOI AM.

LAST TIME OUT: The Broncos (12-6, 2-3 MW) are coming off a 68-62 loss to Fresno State on Saturday, Jan. 11. Tatum Thompson had a career performance in the loss, setting career-highs in points (24) and rebounds (16) while Natalie Pasco added 20 points to record her second-straight game with 20+ points.

FINDING A RHYTHM: Boise State had a pair of 20-point scorers in back-to-back games, marking the first time that has occurred since Marta Hermida and Riley Lupfer did so during the 2017-18 season. Pasco scored a season-high 25 points against Utah State on Jan. 8, while Mya Hansen paced the Broncos with 21 points prior to Thompson's and Pasco's 20-point outbursts against Fresno State. Hermida and Lupfer both recorded 20+ games against New Mexico and Utah State on Feb. 7 and Feb. 10, 2018, respectively.

SCOUTING REPORT: The Spartans (8-10, 1-4 MW) come to the Treasure Valley fresh off their first league victory against Air Force on Jan. 11. San Jose State pulls down a league-high 38.7 rebounds per game and holds a +5.3 rebounding margin. A lot of those boards come from the offensive glass, with the Spartans averaging 12.6 offensive rebounds per game. San Jose State has a balanced offensive attack, with seven players averaging between 7.0 and 9.5 points per game.

DOUBLE THE TROUBLE: Thompson recorded the second double-double of her career on Saturday against the Bulldogs, pulling down 24 points and 16 rebounds. Her 11 field goals against Fresno State are tied for the most made by any player in a MW game this season. The junior became the first Bronco to record 16 rebounds since Abby Muse did so against San Diego State on Jan. 13, 2024, and is the first Bronco to record 20+ points and 10+ rebounds since Elodie Lalotte did so at New Mexico on Jan. 21, 2023.

HEAT CHECK: Pasco has been on a roll the past few games. The junior sharpshooter has poured in back-to-back 20+ point performances for the second time in her career, and has buried eight 3-pointers over the past two games. The Danville, Calif., native is first among MW players in 3-point percentage (41.5%), third in total 3-pointers (39) and fourth in 3-pointers per game (2.2), and is currently tied for fifth in program history with 169 career 3-pointers.

FREE POINTS: Boise State has been incredibly efficient from the free throw line this season, especially during conference play. The Broncos have converted 87% (60-of-69) of their free throw attempts through five MW games, the highest percentage in the league. The program record for free throw percentage in league play is 74.7%, set in the 1988-89 season. Six players on the Bronco roster (Teryn Gardner, Mya Hansen, Mary Kay Naro, Pasco, Milly Sharp and Thompson) are shooting over 85% from the charity stripe.

COACHING MILESTONE: Head coach Gordy Presnell enters the contest with 257 victories as a MW head coach, the fourth-most in league history. The Broncos' winningest head coach can tie Don Flanagan (New Mexico, 1999-11) for third place with a win against the Spartans.
