Broncos and Rams Set for Tuesday Night Tip in Fort Collins

WHAT'S NEXT:Â Boise State women's basketball will take a trip to Fort Collins, Colo., for a matchup against Colorado State on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The contest will tip off at 6:30 p.m. MT at Moby Arena and will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network and 670 KBOI AM.
SCOUTING THE RAMS:Â The Broncos (14-6, 4-3 MW) and Rams (13-6, 4-2) are right next to each other in the MW standings, with Colorado State sitting in fourth place (4-2) while Boise State is a half game back in fifth (4-3). The Broncos have lost three-straight contests at Colorado State, with Boise State last winning in Moby Arena on Dec. 8, 2019, 72-69. Emma Ronsiek leads the way for the Rams, averaging 18.4 points, 5.9 boards and 2.9 assists per game.
LAST TIME OUT:Â Boise State picked up its second-straight victory on Saturday, outlasting Nevada 61-53. The Blue and Orange overcame a 10-point first-half deficit to come out victorious. Three Broncos scored in double-figures, led by a 14-point outing from Mya Hansen. Â
DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE:Â Tatum Thompson finished with 11 points and 12 rebounds against the Wolf Pack, marking the third consecutive game she has recorded a double-double. The junior became the first Bronco to tally three-straight double-doubles since Abby Muse did so as a sophomore during the 2021-22 season. Her play earned her MW Player of the Week recognition, marking the second time the Woodinville, Wash., native has garnered the honor in her career.
LET IF FLY:Â Boise State's been lighting it up from beyond the arc. Natalie Pasco currently leads the conference in 3-point percentage (41.2%) and has drilled 11 long balls over the past four games. Hansen has made multiple 3-pointers in her last five contests, the longest streak of her career. Dani Bayes has made five 3-pointers over the past three games, including a dagger from the corner to seal the victory over Nevada.
CONVERTING AT THE LINE: The Broncos have been incredibly efficient from the charity stripe this season. Boise State is shooting 81.0% (98-of-121) from the free throw line through seven conference games, well above the program record for free throw percentage in league play of 74.7% set during the 1988-89 season. Six players are shooting above 85% from the line on the season – Teryn Gardner (100%), Hansen (88.5%), Pasco (87.5%), Milly Sharp (87.5%), Mary Kay Naro (85.7%) and Thompson (85.3%).
