
Broncos Prepped for Full Weekend of Competition

WHAT'S NEXT: Boise State will begin its weekend of action hosting Idaho State at noon MT and Lewis-Clark State at 6 p.m. Jan. 24, followed by Gonzaga at 11 a.m. on Jan. 26. All matches will take place at Boas Indoor Tennis Center.
SCOUTING THE BENGALS: The Bengals will make their spring season debut after being selected to finish sixth in the 2025 Big Sky Women's Tennis Preseason Coaches' Poll. Boise State leads the all time record 26-18, having won the last 20 matches overall and last 11 under head coach Beck Roghaar.
SCOUTING THE WARRIORS: The Warriors will also compete in their first match of the spring season this weekend. The Broncos are a perfect 23-0 against LCSC and last defeated the Warriors 7-0 on March 9, 2024.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS: The Bulldogs enter the weekend 2-0, having defeated Michigan State and Eastern Washington, both by a score of 5-2, last weekend. The Broncos last faced Gonzaga on Feb. 25, 2023, earning a 4-3 victory. Boise State sits 8-0 against the Bulldogs all time, with three of those victories coming under Roghaar.
DOMINATING START: The Broncos opened their spring season with a strong 7-0 win over Weber State. The squad dominated the doubles point, winning 18 of 25 total games.
STRONG DEBUTS: Boise State saw Maya Dutta, Zdena Safarova, Paula Schaefer, and Masa Viriant all earn their first spring victories in the Blue & Orange in the season opener. Dutta's performance earned her Mountain West Freshman of the Week honors, marking the first time Boise State has earned this award since Lorelyz Marruffo on Feb. 22, 2023.
