Shields Signs Filip Soderqvist for 2025

BOISE, Idaho – Boise State Men's Tennis Head Coach Luke Shields announced today the addition of Filip Soderquist (Norrtalje, Sweden). Soderquist will join the Broncos for the 2025 fall season.

"We are really excited to add Filip to our team. He will bring some personality and unique flair to the squad," said Shields. "The thing that stood out recruiting him is how much he loves to compete. He has great anticipation skills and uses the whole court correctly. His ability to break an opponent down is entertaining to watch. His tennis IQ is very high and we think he can have a great college career if he puts in the right work."

The incoming freshman has been ranked No. 1 in the Swedish under 19 classification and has a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) rating of 12.06. His International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior ranking is 318.
