WHAT'S NEXT: The Boise State women's golf team will travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico, to compete in the New Mexico State Golf Iconic Classic, Oct. 13-15.

LAST TIME OUT: Boise State finished second at the Molly Collegiate Invitational, the team's best result of the 2025 fall season.

PERSONAL BESTS ALL AROUND: At the Molly Collegiate Invitational, Annie Buffolino shot a career-low 68 (4-under) in the opening round and tied for 18th at 6-over, both personal bests. Macee Greenwood earned a career-best finish in ninth place and matched her lowest round with an even-par 72. Freshman Callia Ward carded a personal-best 2-under 70 in her Boise State debut, including four birdies.

BACK LIKE SHE NEVER LEFT: Leia Chung, a two-time Mountain West Women's Golfer of the Week and the program's all-time leader in career scoring average, returned to competition at the Golfweek Fall Challenge after missing the 2024-25 season due to injury. Chung won the tournament, setting program and tournament records for a 54-hole score (199, -14). She finished nine strokes ahead of the field, tying the largest margin of victory in program history, set by Acey Erlandson in 1999.

YEAR FIVE AT THE HELM: Head coach Kailin Downs is in her fifth season leading the Broncos. In 2024, she guided the team to the second-lowest scoring average in program history (296.74) and set school records for lowest 36-hole score (566, -10) and lowest 54-hole score (846, -18). Downs recently signed a two-year contract extension, keeping her with the program through the 2028 season.

ALL-CONFERENCE RETURNER: Matsueda earned All-MW Second Team honors for the 2024-25 season, becoming the first Bronco since 2018-19 to receive all-conference recognition.

IN THE RECORD BOOK: Several returning players are featured prominently in the Boise State record book. Chung holds the second, fourth, and seventh-lowest individual 36-hole scores in program history while Patterson is tied for fifth and ninth. Chung also holds five of the program's top 10 three-round scores, including a program record 199 (-14). In career scoring average, Chung (72.92), Matsueda (73.68), and Hui (75.32) rank first, second, and fourth, respectively.
