
Boise State Women Place First at George Oja Invitational

INDEPENDENCE, Ore. — The Boise State women's cross country team placed first at the George Oja Invitational, Saturday, while the men's team finished with three athletes in the top 25.

To collect first place, the women recorded 58 points as a team. Two Broncos recorded top-10 finishes, with Haley Blaine and Julia Kiesler tallying three and five points, respectively.

Posting a time of 20:44.0, Blaine concluded the race behind Megan Crumm (Portland) and Alauna Carstens (Evergreen State). Kiesler ran a time of 21:00.30.

Additionally, Boise State's women's team had two other athletes finish in the top 25, with Eliisa Marshall tallying seven points, and Noelani Krauss finishing with 11.

In the men's 8k Boise State had three athletes who concluded the race in the top-21. Individually, Alex Kilby (24:04.30) finished sixth (24:04.30), Ezra Teeples (24:11.20) placed 10th and Cody Lucas (24:31.70) took 21st.
