Fely's blocked PAT was the first blocked PAT since 2020, when Scott Matlock did so against BYU on Nov. 6. The Broncos are one of four schools to record a blocked kick every year since 2013, joining Kansas, Indiana and Marshall.
Three In A Row
Boise State's win over App State gave the Broncos a three-game win streak for the 27th consecutive season, extending the nation's second-longest streak. Georgia is the lone team ahead of Boise State, holding a 28-year streak after its 3-0 start to the season. Ohio State (24) and Alabama (22) are the next-closest teams. Fresno State (6) has the longest streak among Mountain West teams.
Limiting The Irish
Boise State limited Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr to 189 yards passing, the lowest total of the freshman quarterback's season. The Broncos held the Fighting Irish to 389 yards of offense, their second-lowest mark of the season (314 yards against Miami). Boise State's defense stood strong in pressure situations, stopping both of Notre Dame's fourth-down conversion attempts.
Standout Safety
Ty Benefield has been one of Boise State's biggest defensive contributors, leading the unit in solo tackles (25), total tackles (41) and TFLs (5.5) while tying for the team-high in snaps (299), interceptions (1) and forced fumbles (1). He is one of two players in the nation with 40+ tackles, 5+ TFLs, an interception and a forced fumble, joining Pitt's Rasheem Biles.

The junior safety also led Boise State in tackles against Eastern Washington (9), Air Force (11) and App State (7). Benefield recorded six tackles in the season-opener against USF, trailing team-leader Jayden Virgin-Morgan by two tackles.
